Our story
WIZZ Cloud started inside a transport operations team that was tired of stitching together five different tools to share a single document with a partner. The handover was always slower than the underlying work — files came back in the wrong version, comments got lost in chat, and signatures lived in yet another vendor's portal.
We built the first internal version in 2022 to make our own week shorter. By the end of that year, three other operating companies in our group had asked for access. By the end of the next, we had a product team, a security team, and a long list of teams outside our group asking the same question: "can we use this?"
Today WIZZ Cloud serves thousands of teams across Europe — transport, logistics, finance, professional services, healthcare and the public sector. The story of how those teams use it is, in our experience, the most useful thing we publish.
What we believe
Three principles shape how we build:
- Security is a default, not a feature. Encryption, granular permissions, audit trails and compliance certifications should be in the box at every tier — not a premium upgrade that punishes the teams who need them most.
- European data deserves European infrastructure. Our regions are in the EU, our company is incorporated in the EU, and our standard contractual terms are written with EU regulators in mind. We are not a US company with an EU sales office.
- Boring is a virtue. A platform that holds your most sensitive documents should be predictable, well-documented and slow to change in ways that surprise you. We ship at a steady cadence, deprecate carefully, and run a public changelog.
Where we work
Our headquarters is in Budapest, with engineering hubs in Warsaw and Lisbon, customer success in Amsterdam and Madrid, and a distributed team that touches most countries in the EU. We have a hybrid model — most of the team comes into an office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the company gathers in person twice a year.
Leadership
- Anna Kovács — Chief Executive Officer. Previously head of digital operations at a major European mobility group; engineering background in distributed systems.
- Marcin Nowak — Chief Technology Officer. Twenty years building infrastructure for regulated industries; ISC2 CISSP and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
- Eline van der Berg — Chief Operating Officer. Built and scaled the operations function at three previous European SaaS companies.
- Joana Sá — Chief Information Security Officer. Career CISO with a background in financial services and aviation.
- David Horváth — VP, Customer Engineering. Joined from a global identity provider, where he led the enterprise success team.
