1. Who we are
"WIZZ Cloud" refers to WIZZ Cloud Kft., a Hungarian limited liability company with registered office at Váci út 1, 1062 Budapest, Hungary, company registration number 01-09-123456. We are the data controller for personal data you provide directly to us through this website and the data processor for personal data you upload to the WIZZ Cloud platform under a customer agreement.
2. What we collect
We collect personal data in three categories:
- Account data — name, business email, role, employer, and similar identifiers required to create and operate your account.
- Usage data — logs of how the service is used (sign-ins, IP address, browser type, device identifier, pages and features accessed, timestamps), kept for security and product improvement purposes.
- Content data — the files, folders, and comments you upload. We process this only on instructions from the customer organisation that owns the workspace, as set out in our Data Processing Addendum.
3. Why we process it
We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR. The bases we rely on most are:
- Contract — to deliver the service we have agreed to provide you;
- Legitimate interest — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product;
- Legal obligation — to meet our obligations under tax, accounting, and information-security laws;
- Consent — where we ask for it explicitly, for example to send you marketing communications.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the sub-processors listed in our Data Processing Addendum. These include our infrastructure providers (located in the EU), our customer support tooling provider, and our billing processor. Each sub-processor is bound by contractual obligations equivalent to ours and is audited regularly.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for advertising. We have never received a national security letter or equivalent secret legal demand, and our warrant canary is published in the Trust Centre.
5. International transfers
Customer content is stored exclusively in the EU. Some operational data (e.g. error logs) may be processed by sub-processors outside the EU; in those cases we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where required, supplementary technical measures.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account data for as long as the account is active, and for a defined retention period after closure (typically 60 days for soft-deletion and a further 7 years for billing records, as required by Hungarian tax law). Usage logs are retained for 13 months. Content data follows the retention rules set by your workspace administrator.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to processing in certain circumstances, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@wizzair.cloud. We aim to respond within 14 days and will not take longer than one month except in genuinely complex cases.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).
8. Cookies
We describe our cookie use in a separate cookie policy. The short version: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and one privacy-respecting analytics cookie, and we ask for consent for anything beyond that.
9. Children
WIZZ Cloud is a business product and is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify account administrators by email and post a notice in the product at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect.
11. Contact
Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo@wizzair.cloud or by post at the address in section 1.
